Background

Leila Nelson provides an inspiring and compassionate approach in the therapeutic process. She quickly builds a trusting and safe environment for clients to discover meaningful and lasting solutions to emotional, psychological, behavioral, and relationship struggles.

Leila was an experienced inpatient therapist at Chicago Behavioral Hospital for Mental Health. There she provided individual, family and group counseling for a wide variety of issues. Prior to her work at Chicago Behavioral, she was a therapist at the Pioneer Center for Behavioral Health where she provided therapy in an outpatient setting.

Leila enjoys counseling adults, adolescents, and children to enhance quality of life, overcome emotional and mental health issues, improve relationships, and achieve personal, family, and professional goals. Leila takes a collaborative approach with client’s to help them reach their therapeutic goals. Leila is easy to talk to and most clients feel comfortable and at ease right away with her.

Leila earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Argosy University and a master’s degree in professional psychology from the University of Phoenix and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. Leila enjoys helping clients identify meaningful goals and achieve lasting solutions to improve quality of life and relationships.
