Clinic Serves Needs of Each Individual Patient

Marianne Geiger, M.D., established the Clinic of Psychiatric Care, a private psychiatric and psychotherapy practice, in July 2001 in Loves Park, Illinois. Dr. Geiger's Clinic of Psychiatric Care is located in Suite 203 of The Windsor Building, 1752 Windsor Road.

Dr. Geiger is board certified in both psychiatry and anesthesiology, with more than 15 years of clinical experience. She currently is on staff at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford. In addition, she is on many managed care panels and works with multiple insurance carriers.

Dr. Geiger founded the clinic with a goal of serving the needs of each individual patient that seeks out the services. She and her staff of five take the extra time to get know patients and help them make genuine progress.

A native of Harrisburg, Ill., Dr. Geiger earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in 1984. She completed an internship in general surgery at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fargo, N.D. and a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, IA, specializing in obstetric anesthesia. She is board certified in anesthesia.

In 1998, she completed her psychiatry residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where she was named chief resident in her last year. She became board certified in June 2000 by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Geiger is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
